the Organizational Fellowship Program Participants

The National Gender & Equity Campaign (NGEC) is a social justice demonstration project incubated by Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy (AAPIP).  Through the NGEC, we rally AAPI and philanthropic communities to leverage, mobilize and activate resources to address systemic inequity.

We aim to build a stronger social justice movement by supporting the sustainability of grassroots organizations committed to cultural change in their communities through inclusive social justice values and practices around gender and equity.  We are also committed to developing and testing capacity building approaches and tools to support impacted communities with the means to lead and drive change.

About two years ago Asian American Arts Centre of NY was planning to do an exhibition on the Vietnamese fishing community of New Orleans. While working with artists there, staff was lost and moving location, AAAC no longer has its own gallery. We have however, launched into the digital archive field, perhaps one of the first for Asian Americans specific to the arts, and are seeking support for this new and unusual venture.
Look forward to hearing from you.
